Practice, classrooms, live sessions, books, and your library all live in the browser at backingscore.com. Before writing in, it is worth checking:
- Microphone or MIDI not detected in Wait Mode: your browser asks for microphone permission the first time — check the site permissions in your browser settings, then reload the page.
- Can't join a class: a join code comes from your teacher, not from us. If the code is rejected, ask your teacher to confirm it is still active.
- Billing and cancellations: see the Refund Policy. Purchases made through Apple or Google must be refunded by Apple or Google.
StageScore for iOS and Android
StageScore is our sheet-music reader for the music stand: your PDF charts, page turns by tap, swipe, or Bluetooth pedal, setlists, and markup. It works entirely offline and keeps everything on your device — there is no account and nothing to sign in to.
- Tell us which build you are on. Open ⋯ → About StageScore in the Library and include the version and build number in your message. It saves a round trip.
- A Bluetooth pedal does nothing:pair it in your device's system Bluetooth settings first. StageScore reads it as a keyboard, so the pedal must be in keyboard mode.
- Moving to a new device: use ⋯ → Backup on the old one and Restore on the new one. The backup is a single ZIP holding your scores, annotations, bookmarks, labels, and setlists.
- Lost work: restoring a backup replaces the whole library and cannot be undone, so keep the ZIP until you have confirmed the new device looks right.
StageScore collects nothing about you or your music. See the StageScore section of our Privacy Policy.
What to include
The more of this you can give us, the faster the answer: what you were doing, what you expected, what happened instead, the device and browser or app version, and a screenshot if the problem is visible.
